Drama Tutor - Guildhall Young Artists Taunton
(hourly rate, one-year)
£36.00 p/hour
Salary: £36 per hour
Part-time: working Saturdays in term time up to 30 weeks per academic year in 2023/24
Guildhall Young Artists Taunton is one of Somerset’s most exciting Saturday performing arts centres offering a range of classes and performance opportunities for 5 to 18 years in music and drama. Based at Richard Huish College, Taunton, young people develop their creativity and access high quality training across a variety of styles and genres.
We seek to appoint an energetic and dynamic drama practitioner with experience in the education sector to ensure that Guildhall Young Artists Taunton provides an excellent creative education.
The successful candidate will be committed to developing young students, from a variety of backgrounds, to reach their full potential.
The post-holder will devise and oversee drama workshops and projects and will play a key role in designing and evolving a rich, inspiring, and ambitious curriculum. This will include:
• Delivering a progressive learning experience encouraging advancement in drama.
• Devising and directing performance work enabling students to put their skills into practice.
• Offering an inspiring range of enriching activities to complement taught work.
• Fostering multidisciplinary collaborative practice between drama, music, and production arts.
