An independent and impartial institution bringing together young musicians from all over Luxembourg and abroad: this is the mission of the Orchestre National des Jeunes du Luxembourg. An independent and impartial institution bringing together young musicians from all over Luxembourg and abroad: this is the mission of the Orchestre National des Jeunes du Luxembourg. The ONJ brings together young musicians at different stages of their musical education and offers them the opportunity to gain experience through contact with each other and with professionals. The different sections are generally coached by professional musicians from the different orchestras and ensembles in and around Luxembourg.
A special feature of the ONJ is the emergence of networks among the Luxembourgish and foreign participants - this direct exchange between music students is particularly important to us.
The ONJ generally presents two projects per year, consisting of one week of rehearsals resulting in at least one concert. For non-resident musicians, accommodation and reimbursement of travel costs is taken care of.
