First International Lied-Competition "Bolko v. Hochberg"

The cultural society Ars-Augusta e.V. in the european city Görlitz-Zgorzelec in Germany, is organizing the First International Lied-competition "Bolko von Hochberg" at Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater from March 22nd to 25th, 2021.

The competition aims for promoting the art of Lied-Singing and composers and discover new talents. Eligible to participate are professional singers accompanied by their pianists of any nationality, aged 20 to 40 years for singers, and 20 to 44 years for pianists.

The topic of this first edition is "Hellas", and features the Lied (artistic song) written and inspired by Greece and Classicism. A complete list of music and scores (Schubert, Brahms, Wolf, Debussy, Gounod, Lourié, Kasassoglou, Ravel and others) can be found on the website of the competition.

1st prize: € 6,000, 2nd prize: € 4,000, 3rd prize: € 2,000, recitals, sound recording and special prizes.

Concert of laureates: March 26, 2021 in Ksiaz Castle, Poland.
