Composition Competition for Irish Composers
In the framework of the Irish EU Presidency, the Brussels Chamber Ensemble, a symphonic orchestra composed of 60 musicians, is launching a Composition Competition for Irish Composers, in official cooperation with
the Irish Embassy of Brussels and the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade!
We invite Irish composers of all ages to submit a composition which honours sounds of their native Ireland. Our orchestra particularly welcomes a work for symphonic orchesta and harp. The winning composition will be premiered by the orchestra in Flagey Studio 4, one of Brussels' prime concert venues, during the official Irish EU Presidency concert of 8 December 2026!
