International Conducting Competition Rotterdam 2027-2028

The third edition of ICCR for young conductors aged 23 to 30 years will kick off with the live Selection Rounds (2 to 4 July 2027) and finish with the Finals (22 August to 3 September 2028) both taking place at de Doelen in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. In between these two parts it will include new activities in collaboration with the Dresdner Philharmonie and the Lead Lab Helsinki.

Modelled after actual concert practices, conductors get to work with numerous world-renowned orchestras including the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra of 18th Century, Sinfonia Rotterdam and Ensemble Modern presenting a six concerts in a variety of styles and genres.
Confirmed jury members include Dame Jane Glover (chair), Philippe Herreweghe, Dalia Stasevska, Vimbayi Kaziboni, Lera Auerbach, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Elena Schwartz, Carlo Rizzi, Esperanza Scapucci, Kwamé Ryan, Xian Zhang, Deborah Borda, Wolfgang Fink and David Pickard.
