Antal Dorati International Conducting Competition
The Budapest Symphony Orchestra MÁV in cooperation with Studiomusica International Artist Management and Studiomusca Hungary, announces the second edition of “ANTAL DORÁTI INTERNATIONAL CONDUCTING COMPETITION” The competition offers a real career opportunity to emerging orchestra conductors and is open to musicians of any nationality without age limits. The competition will be held in Budapest from November the 5th until November the 12th 2018. M° Tamas Vasary President of the jury. 1st Hong Kong International Conducting Competition
The Hong Kong International Conducting Competition is for conductors under the age of 35 to establish a network in Asia, where the local orchestral scenes are rapidly developing. An international jury made up of conductors and people shaping the music business today will share their views and experiences. As a complement to the competition, a conducting workshop open to all young conductors will be hosted by jury members in the week following the competition.

The Nicolai Malko Competition for Young Conductors
The Danish National Symphony Orchestra invites conductors under 35 years old to apply to the 18th Nicolai Malko competition for young conductors. The orchestra’s principal conductor Fabio Luisi, also known as principal conductor of The Met and the General Music Director of Zurich opera, will be heading the 2018 competition jury and will also be offering his personal mentorship to the winner of the competition. Among other draws for young conductors in the 2018 competition is a contract of more than 20 concerts with leading European orchestras.

8th International Conducting Competition Jeunesses Musicales
Applications are now open for the 8th edition of the International Conducting Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest which will take place in September 26 – 30, 2017 in Bucharest (Romania) with the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra. Money prizes and concerts with the Philharmonic Orchestras of Craiova, Timisoara, Sibiu, Iasi, Brasov, Kielce (Poland), The National Chamber Orchestra of Moldova, the Târgu Mureş State Philharmonic, the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra or the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liege (Belgium).

Audite International Conducting Competition
We are delighted to announce the 1st Audite International Conducting Competition, a new kind of music competition aiming to provide the most impartial comparison of performances and a really exciting opportunity for emerging talent to shine. Candidates will conduct an orchestra which is capable and quick to respond and the jury will be placed behind a screen: they will judge purely on the basis of what they hear, without knowing anything about the person conducting. In this way we aim to eliminate all possibility of bias and provide a genuinely equal chance for every conductor to succeed.

Smoky Mountain International Conducting Competition
The eight conductors selected as full Participants for the Smoky Mountain International Conducting Institute will compete for the Pierre Monteux Prize. Results will be based on their conducting with the Smoky Mountain Institute Chamber Orchestra in three rehearsals and a concert. A Second Prize will also be awarded. Both winners will receive certificates and press coverage with the Grand Prize winner additionally receiving a prize medal. There is no age restriction for the competition.

Blue Danube International Opera Conducting Competition 2017
7th Edition. Up to 60 conductors accepted without age limit to compete for prize engagements with professional opera companies from around Europe. 40 minutes of podium time with the company's orchestra, choir and soloists in Round I with Mozart's Die Entfuehrung aus dem Serail and Samson et Dalila by Camille Saint-Saens. Round II will test portions of Puccini's Madama Butterfly; Samson et Dalila, and Orpheus, a chamber opera written in 2015 by the Canadian composer, John Robertson. Round III will test Madama Butterfly. A number of Important opera directors attend for the final two rounds.
