European Union Conducting Competition
The repertoire of the competition aims to let the competitors to show not only their technical skills but also their capacity to perform each piece according to its stylistic peculiarity. Pieces by composers from 10 different European Countries are represented in the repertoire thus providing a demanding challenge for the competitors and the international panel is composed by well known musicians from all over Europe. PRIZES: a tour in Italy with Kodaly Symphony Orchestra, concerts and operas in Italy, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Poland. Transfer provided for the selected candidates.

The Budapest Symphony Orchestra MÁV in cooperation with Studiomusica International Artist Management and Studiomusca Hungary, announces the second edition of “ANTAL DORÁTI INTERNATIONAL CONDUCTING COMPETITION” The competition offers a real career opportunity to emerging orchestra conductors and is open to musicians of any nationality without age limits. 1st Hong Kong International Conducting Competition
The Hong Kong International Conducting Competition is for conductors under the age of 35 to establish a network in Asia, where the local orchestral scenes are rapidly developing. An international jury made up of conductors and people shaping the music business today will share their views and experiences. As a complement to the competition, a conducting workshop open to all young conductors will be hosted by jury members in the week following the competition.

The Nicolai Malko Competition for Young Conductors
The Danish National Symphony Orchestra invites conductors under 35 years old to apply to the 18th Nicolai Malko competition for young conductors. The orchestra’s principal conductor Fabio Luisi, also known as principal conductor of The Met and the General Music Director of Zurich opera, will be heading the 2018 competition jury and will also be offering his personal mentorship to the winner of the competition. Among other draws for young conductors in the 2018 competition is a contract of more than 20 concerts with leading European orchestras.

Applications are now open for the 8th edition of the International Conducting Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest which will take place in September 26 – 30, 2017 in Bucharest (Romania) with the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra. Money prizes and concerts with the Philharmonic Orchestras of Craiova, Timisoara, Sibiu, Iasi, Brasov, Kielce (Poland), The National Chamber Orchestra of Moldova, the Târgu Mureş State Philharmonic, the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra or the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liege (Belgium).

Blue Danube International Opera Conducting Competition 2017
7th Edition. Up to 60 conductors accepted without age limit to compete for prize engagements with professional opera companies from around Europe. 40 minutes of podium time with the company's orchestra, choir and soloists in Round I with Mozart's Die Entfuehrung aus dem Serail and Samson et Dalila by Camille Saint-Saens. Round II will test portions of Puccini's Madama Butterfly; Samson et Dalila, and Orpheus, a chamber opera written in 2015 by the Canadian composer, John Robertson. Round III will test Madama Butterfly. A number of Important opera directors attend for the final two rounds.
