Employment to begin at the successful candidate’s earliest availability.

A number of applicants will be invited to the audition, which takes place on Friday October 16th 2020 in the Concert Hall of the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.
Applicants are encouraged to send their resume, which can be supplemented with a digital recording of the repertoire from the first round. A number of applicants will be invited to the first round of the audition on the basis of applications, resume and sound files. Deadline for upload of sound files is Monday August 31st 2020.

1. round: Mozart: Concerto for bassoon and orchestra KV191, 1st mvt. without cadenza and Carl Nielsen: Wind quintet op. 43, 3rd mvt, variation VII.
2. Round: Camille Saint-Saëns: Sonata for bassoon and piano, 2nd and 3rd mvt. (until bar 35) and orchestral excerpts.
3. Round: Orchestral excerpts.

Orchestral excerpts will be sent out electronically approximately 3 weeks before the audition.

An accompanist will be available at the audition. Applicants are responsible for expenses incurred in connection with either travel or rehearsal.

Salary and conditions of employment in accordance with the current agreement for musicians in the Danish Regional Orchestras (‘Landsdelsorkestre’).

Employment of non-EU residents is contingent upon the attainment of a valid work and residence permit. Applicants are responsible for expenses incurred in the attainment of such permits.

A deposit of DKK 500 is required for participation in the audition. Instructions for transfer of deposit funds will be given upon application. Funds will be returned upon completion of the audition, or upon withdrawal on or before October 15th 2020.
