Section Musician Violin 1 (Two Positions)

75,399 - 87,733 AUD p/year
This position is open to Australian and New Zealand citizens and those with Australian permanent residency status.

Note we are seeking to fill two Section Musician Violin 1 positions.

Auditions will be held on Tuesday 19 March and Wednesday 20 March 2024. Applicants are required to be available on both days and an accompanist will be provided. Recorded auditions will be accepted.

Set works (to be played with piano accompaniment)
• First and second movement of Mozart Concerto 3, 4 or 5 – exposition ONLY no cadenza
• First movement of a Romantic concerto OR early 20th Century concerto with Candenza, if applicable
Excerpts (to be played solo)

Remuneration: A salary range of AUD$75,399 - $87,733 per annum plus 11% superannuation. QSO also provides a comprehensive instrument insurance scheme, along with instrument upkeep and clothing allowances. The Orchestra enjoys generous leave entitlements that include five weeks annual leave plus a mid-year break of seven days.

Interested candidates must provide a current CV outlining their suitability for the position, including details of professional orchestra experience.
