Sub-principal II violin (also II violin player)

Jyväskylä Sinfonia is the pearl of classical music in the middle of Finland. Orchestra operates in Jyväskylä and visits the entire province. The orchestra reaches year over 36 000 listeners in our nearly 150 events from symphony concerts to cross-genre special productions and music events for audiences of all ages. From autumn 2024, the orchestra’s chief conductor will be Italian maestro Lorenzo Passerini. Okko Kamu playes the role of the principal guest.

We are hiring

This audition will also be used to fill the vacant 2nd violin player post in the orchestra.

Audition: Thursday 15th of August at 1 pm.

Audition takes place at the Encore hall of Jyväskylä Sinfonia, Lutakonaukio 12 (Paviljonki).

Audition program:
W. A. Mozart: Concerto for Violin No. 3, 4 or 5: 1st and 2nd part with cadenzas.

Accompanist is available at the audition.

The audition may include a job interview. We expect the applicant to have good interaction and teamwork skills.

Terms of the employment are determined to the national collective bargain (KVTES).

The position will be fulfilled on 21.10.2024 or by agreement. The task follows a probation period.
