If you’ve traveled through Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, you may have noticed a guitarist, violinist or other musician performing in the terminal as passengers walk by or wait for flights.

The Atlanta airport pays a select group of local musicians who perform throughout the concourses.

If you want to learn more about the musicians who perform at the world's busiest airport, you can see profiles and photos of some of the performers on Hartsfield-Jackson's website at atl.com/music.

For example, violinist Kenneth Lambert performs with the Atlanta Symphony and Savannah Philharmonic, works as a studio musician and has recorded and performed on film and television projects including “Stranger Things,” “Sleepy Hollow” and “The Originals.”

Guitarist Jonathan Adams has toured with a classical fusion group and has produced five full-length albums.

Saxophonist Frank Houston has toured with Thomas Rhett, performed on “The Tonight Show,” “The Ellen Show,” “Today Show” and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” and toured and recorded with Musiq Soulchild, the airport says on its website.

Pedal steel guitarist Tommy Dodd has played with The Supremes, contributed to recordings of Travis Tritt and Doug Stone, and played the role of a musician in an episode of “In the Heat of the Night,” according to the airport web page.

Hartsfield-Jackson is holding auditions this Thursday for musicians who want to perform at the airport, as it looks to expand the program. Read the story on AJC.com for more information.
