The Berlin Philharmonic has announced that it will start its November program with a bigger audience.

Per the company’s official statement, up to 1,000 spectators in the Great Concert Hall, and up to 567  spectators in the Chamber Music Hall will be allowed. Per the new hygiene concept, face masks will be compulsory during the course of the entire concert.

The new decisions about the number of spectators allowed to enter the concert hall are based on the guidelines by the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Europe. The current program had to be adapted due to the social distancing requirement for the musicians on the podium.

The new program of the Berlin Philharmonic performances will be unveiled on Sep. 22, 2020.
