Wolf Baroque Bassoon from Kronach Bavaria Serial #HKICW 415.
This bassoon was the personal instrument of Michael McCraw.
Bought in 2017 from the estate of Michael McCraw I have used it with great care during my Masters of Early Music in the Hague. It has been carefully maintained, oiled and is in pristine condition.
Wolf’s HKICW is a copy of a traditional baroque bassoon from the year 1700. It is based upon an instrument that was in the collection of the late William Waterhouse, found in East Germany. It is pitched at 415 Hz.
