A German copy violin labelled Emile Germain a Paris, 5 Faubourg, Montmartre 1898. Probably made in Markneukichen about 1910.
LOB 358mm
The two-piece maple back has faint medium curl with a small illegible wax seal below the button. The front is of two-piece straight grained spruce. The grain is narrow in the centre, widening to the edges.
The varnish is light golden brown in colour.
The violin is fitted with rosewood pegs, an integrated tailpiece. It has a new bridge, soundpost and Dominant strings. (Different strings are available if required).
The violin is undamaged and in excellent playable condition.
