I've owned it for around 8 years.
No open seams or cracks, the bass is really stable.
I've certainly added to the antiquing!
Recent work carried out by Neil McWilliam Violins, Glasgow:
New adjustable bridge
Fingerboard planed
Soundpost trimmed and refitted
Sound:
I played this bass through my undergrad degree and has served me well in a variety of situations including orchestral work, jazz and folk gigs and recording sessions.
With Spirocores or Evah Pirazzis this bass has a really good pizz sound for jazz and folk music. It's got a good growl :)
It currently has an old set of Belcantos on it and it sounds really good when bowed and has a nice orchestral pizz sound.
Easy to play, lots of adjustment in the bridge.
Took me a while to find a bass to replace this with and so it is a reluctant sale but I know it'll treat someone well.
Comes with a vinyl case.
The bass is located in Glasgow.
