Stolen: 24 Mar 2022 - 7:51 p.m. - CVS parking lot at Broad Street in Fleetwood, Mt. Vernon, N.Y.

My name is Normearleasa Thomas, cellist. My cello made by Guy Rabut 1984 was just stolen from my car, Thursday night, March 24, 2022 at 7:51 p.m. CVS parking lot: Fleetwood Ave Broad Street, Mt Vernon, NY. The security camera shows the thief driving a Black Jeep SUV with no license plate in front of vehicle, tall male driver. The cello is full size, 2 piece back and ribs made with Poplar, with Guy Rabut 1984 label inside, and GUY RABUT is branded in the center of the neck/back. I’ve owned this cello 30 years. Performed chamber & symphonic music in Italy & NYC Cello and 2 bows were in a silver BAM cello case - back pulling handle of the case was broken off, carrying handle was also broken. There is police report on file with Mt. Vernon City Police Department. A reward is available for any information leading to solving this crime. Beschreibung des Instruments:
Guy Rabut Cello: the two piece back is made from gently figured poplar cut on a slab with ribs of same poplar. The two piece top is a medium grained spruce. The neck and scroll are maple. The varnish is a deep red-brown color There were 2 bows in the case. Case: BAM silver/light grey, had back handle broken off and carrying handle broken as well.
