Rota-organiser for the oboe section. Rota planning for the oboe section, completion of timetabling records and liaison with the orchestra chief conductor and orchestral manager with regard to the booking of deputies.
Co-founder of the orchestra’s educational outreach programme, “Philharmini”. This involved talking to groups of children before a concert to explain about the music they were going to hear and about the different instruments in the orchestra. My children’s piece “the witch’s cat who lost her spells”, for wind quintet and narrator has been performed in many primary schools in and around Dessau. The English and German language versions of the piece are in publication from June Emerson Wind Music.
