A German copy violin carrying the label of Joh Bapt Schweitzer / fecit at forman / Heronym Amati Pestini 1813. It was probably made in Markneukirchen at turn of 19th/20th Century.
LOB 360mm
The one-piece maple back has faint medium curl, falling right to left.
The two-piece front is of straight grained spruce with medium, even grain.
Brown varnish.
The violin has ebony fittings. It has a new bridge, sounpost and Dominant strings. (Different strings are available on request)
The violin is in good playable condition
