Beautiful cello from Andrea Castagneri (ca.1740 in Paris) slightly small corpus but normal scale length.
The cello has been certified by Vatelot-Rampal in 2020.
I‘ve played on this instrument for about 15 years and performed a lot on it (solo and chamber music performances, exams, competitions etc.)
It has a beautiful warm and round sound that always carried without problems.
The pictures show a baroque setup but the cello currently has a modern setup (as I had always played on) and can be tried out in Wuppertal (near Düsseldorf/Köln), possibly also Stuttgart or Munich.
