Genuine British-made Sterling Virtuoso Bb Baritone
An original Sterling instrument manufactured in Great Britain, rather than one of the later John Packer-produced instruments. Sterling was founded by former Boosey & Hawkes manufacturing manager Paul Riggett in 1987 and became known for its hand-built brass instruments and Virtuoso range.
This is the three-valve compensating baritone, the configuration particularly associated with the original Sterling Virtuoso baritone. It is a substantial, powerful instrument with the characteristic British brass-band baritone design.
The instrument is fully playable, although it has considerable lacquer wear from previous use. This is reflected in the asking price. The bell engraving and original construction clearly show STERLING – MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN.
