"Ink Still Wet" Composer-Conductor Workshop 2027

CALL FOR COMPOSITIONS · STEVE REICH
Create a new orchestral work and premiere it yourself as a conductor with the Tonkünstler Orchestra under the guidance of Steve Reich, Composer in Residence of the Grafenegg Festival 2027.
Two phases take your piece from workshop to premiere:
· 12 to 16 April in New York City (USA)
· 19 to 28 August in Grafenegg (Austria) during the Festival
· Public concert on 26 August in Grafenegg
Participation is fully funded. This includes:
· accomodation
· international travel reimbursement (plane and train tickets, etc.)
· local transfers
· subsistence costs
· concert tickets for the Grafenegg Festival
NO application or participation fee.
Who can apply: composers and composition students from any country. No age limit. Course language: English. Up to five places.
