The Almo Collegio Borromeo in Pavia (Italy) is launching the international call for entries titled Sound architectures, open to composers of any musical genre, geographical origin and cultural background.
The aim of the call for entries is to select an unpublished piece composed specifically for the occasion, which will be performed at the monumental site-specific sculpture created by the artist Edoardo Tresoldi. The work will be set against the archaeological remains of the church of San Marco in Monte Bertone, in the Horti park (Pavia).
The Collegio Borromeo will award the composer of the selected piece a prize of €10,000 and the opportunity to conduct the premiere of the piece at the opening of the installation.
Applications for this call for entries will be accepted from October 2, 2026, through June 30, 2027 (12:00 p.m. CEST). An international jury, including A. Marangoni, E. Melozzi, J. Guilherme Ripper, G. Sollima, and D. Winkler, will select the winning piece.
