Östgötamusiken
Östgötamusiken is looking to recruit a Principal Horn
We are looking for a hornist both for the Crusellkvintetten - Crusell Quintet - and for the Östgöta Blåsarsymfoniker – Nordic Wind Ensemble. The Crusell Quintet is one of Sweden’s few professional wind quintets. The quintet plays chamber music concerts as well as concerts for young and more mature audiences, where you will be required to have suitable communication with the audience. Swedish is therefore a requirement. You will also be involved in the ensemble’s planning and creation of productions.
The position is full-time with a monthly salary and the working hours are sometimes in the evenings and at weekends, depending on the schedules of productions. It is a permanent position that starts with a period of probationary employment. Starting date pursuant to mutual agreement. The employment contract is based on a collective agreement between the Swedish Performing Arts Association and the Swedish Union of Professional Musicians and the Swedish Association of Professional Musicians.
If you have any questions about the position, you are welcome to contact Maria Eklund, Artistic Director. You can send your questions and contact details by email, to maria.eklund@ostgotamusiken.se, to arrange a telephone call.
Audition will take place by invitation on 12.09 in Östgötamusikens facilities. A pianist will be available.
Mandatory works: W.A. Mozart Horn Concerto No 4 in E-flat major qu 495, movement 1 without cadenza.
Richard Strauss Horn Concerto No 1 op. 11, movement 1.
It is possible to download orchestral extracts and extracts from the wind quintet repertoire from ostgotamusiken.se.
Please send your application, including your CV, to jobb@ostgotamusiken.se by 15th August.
Form of employment: Permanent with a probationary employment according to agreement.
Working time: 100%
Starting date: According to mutual agreement.
Location: Linköping, Sweden.
Required language: Swedish.
