Bassoonist

After announcing the departure of founding bassoonist Ryan Reynolds, Akropolis seeks a new, permanent bassoonist, the first personnel change in its 18-year history.

Time: Average of 100 days annually, inclusive of all work days including travel, rehearsal, performances, and workshops.

Location: May live anywhere within the continental United States or be willing to relocate to the continental United States.

Salary: $50,000, paid twice monthly for 12 months

The organization pays all travel expenses associated with being a member of the ensemble including transportation, meals, and lodging.

Round 2 In-person Rehearsal + Interview Round: January 4-8, 2027 in Michigan with the quintet

Round 3 Concert Round: Selected candidates will be invited to perform with Akropolis Feb-April, 2027
