Prix: £5,450.00

A beautiful violin believed to be from the Jacobus Stainer School in Klingenthal area, near Bayreuth, Southern Germany, is for sale.

This violin, which has been recently set up and finished in the Ruschil & Bailly workshop, with a new bridge, soundpost and glueing, has been in my family for over 100 years. Reluctantly, this is being sold.

This violin has ‘rib edging’ around the whole instrument, which can be seen if the picture is enlarged.

This violin has been played in semi-professional quartets until a few years ago.

The violin is still in its original case and canvas cover and comes with a bow.
Certification: No certification but in the opinion of Ruschil & Bailly, this violin is a German violin made in Markneukirchen/Klingenthal circa 1890-1920.
