Fine Quality English Violin by Charles Harris I Circa 1790
Fine quality full-size English violin made by Charles Harris I circa 1790. Branded Harris below the button and signed three times internally by Charles Harris l, to the lower ribs, the lower back and the upper part of the table. This instrument is based on a Nicolo Amati pattern. The back length is 35.1 cms, the neck length is 130mm and the stop length is 195mm. Constructed with a fine grain two piece front and a prominently flamed two piece back.Original golden/amber varnish.This violin is in excellent playing condition,sold with a good quality case.
