Teacher of Brass (Trumpet and Trombone)

At Goresbrook School, we believe that every student should have the opportunity to master a musical instrument in an authentic performance environment. Students at Goresbrook take part in our “Big Band Project”, where every student at Key Stage 3 learns an instrument and plays that instrument as part of a big band. In order for this to be successful, we triple staff our lessons and each lesson has a brass, woodwind and rhythm specialist.

We are looking for an energetic brass specialist who is able to teach the trumpet and trombone in both a private and group setting over 3 days per week. You will be responsible for ensuring the progress of small groups of students (10 in each class) on our big band days and will also be responsible for one-to-one lessons with our GCSE and A level brass students. All repertoire and resources are provided.

The role would be over three days, with two days of group lessons and one day of 1+1 lessons. Please get in touch if you think you would be a great fit for this role.
