La Vraie Note
Twenty years ago, Emil Lavrenov, founder of La Vraie Note association, organised a music camp for young musicians. The great success of his project and the enthusiasm of the pupils gave him the opportunity to create the youth string orchestra called La Vraie Note. Several of those who took part in that project are now professional musicians.
In 2016, Elena Lavrenov and Ashot Khachatourian created the "La Vraie Note" music school.
They wish to give high quality teaching to those who want to develop their musical skills. In addition to the weekly class that the association gives, one of its goals is to create international exchange with students all around the world. In 2016, it had the great privilege to organize the first edition of a music camp in Xi’an, China. The second edition of this course, organized in partnership with the Royal Academy of Music César Franck, took place in Belgium in July 2017 and welcomed forty participants from all around the world.
YSAYE International Music Competition
Eugene Ysaÿe is considered as one of the greatest musicians of all time. His compositions, mainly dedicated to the violin, reveal his great understanding of the instrument. The connection between melody and harmony in his works proves his incredible composing skills.
In memory of Eugene Ysaÿe, Elena Lavrenov and Ashot Khachatourian created a high level competition for young musicians. Their goal is to develop culture and provide an opportunity for musicians from all around the world to showcase their talent.
For the organizers, the health of all participants and staff of YIMC is a priority. This is why, we continue to monitor and remain in accordance with all new measures.
