The Conducting Masterclass is directed to the young conductors who wish to deepen and improve their technique and interpretation, trying to analyze, and then solve the various problems associated with them.
The Masterclass will be hold with the participation of the KLK Symphony Orchestra http://klknewmusic.com/klk-symphony-orchestra/, Maestro Domenico Longo and Ferdinando Nazzaro, italian conductors, for a total of 36 hours of study and check and will conclude with final concert in the Philharmonic Hall with a professional audio and video recording inside the locations of Lviv Philharmonic Society.
The course of Edition 2021 includes the study of the romantic, late romantic and historical twentieth century repertoire.
For the Masterclass will be selected a maximum of 24 students.
There is no limit of age.
Each student will have ar least 50 minutes of rehearsals with orchestra and a possible final public concert in Philharmonia for the last day.
The Masterclass is divided into seven days:
06.09 – h 11 > 14 – h 16 > 19 meeting with the students and theoretical lesson;
07.09 – h 10 > 13 – h 15 > 18 rehearsals, classical-romantic program with orchestra;
08.09 – h 10 > 13 – h 15 > 18 rehearsals, classical-romantic program with orchestra;
09.09 – h 10 > 13 – h 15 > 18 rehearsals, late romantic and twentieth century program with large orchestra;
10.09 – h 10 > 13 – h 15 > 18 rehearsals, late romantic and twentieth century program with large orchestra; after rehearsals M° Longo and Nazzaro will selected 12 conductors for the next day;
11.09 – h 10 > 13 – h 15 > 18 rehearsals late romantic and twentieth century program with large orchestra, after rehearsals M° Longo will selected 3 conductors for the final concert next day;
12.09 – General rehearsal and Final concert : 3 selected conductors, late romantic and twentieth century program with large orchestra.

Please send the application form and indicate at least three scores that you would like to conduct: two from symphonic and one from italian opera program.
You should send at least one video link about your last performances as conductor. Deadline is 30 July 2021.
The artistic director M° Nazzaro will communicate the list of selected conductors by 31 July 2021.

COACH: Domenico Longo
Domenico Longo studied with Donato Renzetti at the Pescara Academy, graduating with full marks. Finalist in the Mario Gusella Competition. He collaborated with the Nobel Laureate Dario Fo for Mistero Buffo. He has collaborated with artists such as: Mariella Devia, Sonia Ganassi, Nicola Martinucci, Elisabete Matos, Dimitra Teodossiu, Alirio Diaz, Francesca Dego and many others … Among others, he has conducted: the Magna Grecia Orchestra, the Marche Chamber Orchestra, the Pescara Symphony, the Marchigiana Philharmonic, the Milan Musical Afternoons, the Petruzzelli Orchestra of Bari, the National Conservatory Orchestra, Mozart Sinfonietta, the Metropolitan Symphony of Bari. , the Orchester Comunidad de Madrid, Ciudad de Granada, Portuguese Symphony, Symphony of the Balearic Islands, Sinfonica de Tenerife, Orchestra Teatro Lirico of Cagliari. He has conducted in the opera houses: Pergolesi of Jesi, Petruzzelli of Bari, TNSC Sao Carlos of Lisboa, Granada, Principal of Palma de Majorca, Zarzuela of Madrid, Comunale of Bologna, San Carlo of Naples. He has directed among other works: Pagliacci, Gianni Schicchi, Il Segreto di Susanna, I Capuleti e i Montecchi, La Traviata, Werther, Cosi fan Tutti, Black el Payaso, Cavalleria Rusticana, Macbeth, Madama Butterfly. He teaches cello at the Taranto Conservatory.

The tuition fee cannot be returned for reasons not dependent on the klknewmusic association.
The tuition fee includes:

12.09 – Prove generali e concerto finale: 3 direttori selezionati, programma tardo romantico e del Novecento con grande orchestra.
