The 5-day orchestral conducting Workshop with Maestro GÜNTER NEUHOLD.
The main aim of the workshop: to study Viennese performing style.
The workshop is suitable for students of conducting and professional conductors.

Each active participant will:
have 100 minutes of podium time with the United Europe Orchester, conduct a dress rehearsal and the final concert, attend all meetings, classes, and rehearsal.

Conductors are expected to purchase and study their scores before the start of the masterclass  workshop. It is important that you listen to the pieces and prepare them as much as possible to gain  maximum benefits from the workshop. The final concert will be held August 9, 2024 in the  Saal  “Salon Bank Austria” Vienna.

No age limit.
Assistance with visas and accomodation.
Languages: English, German, Italian .
Participation will be confirmed after  the receipt of your application.
Each active participant will be able to conduct at the final concert.
All sessions can be videotaped.
Each participant, whether active or passive, will receive a participation certificate signed by Maestro.

Recording

All sessions with the orchestra will be video recorded and each participant will receive his/her videos on USB stick.
You can also use  your own cameras for video recording.
Video recording of rehearsals and the concert is included in the price.
The concert will be recorded with one professional camera, HD sound quality.
We can also provide  a multi-angle recording of the concert upon your request at an additional cost.

Payment schedule

There is no registration/application fee.

– 25 per cent of the participant’s fee has to be paid as a deposit via а bank transfer two weeks at the latest after the organizers’ confirmation of your participation.
The deposit is fully (100%) refundable only in case of cancellation of the masterclass by the organizers.
 A certificate of participation will be  issued to all participants who have completed the masterclass/workshop.

Maestro GÜNTER NEUHOLD

Günter Neuhold was born in Graz, Austria, in 1947. In 1969 he completed his studies at the Graz Conservatoire with a masters degree.
He then followed advanced courses in Rome with Franco Ferrara and in Vienna with Prof. Hans Swarowsky.
Between 1972 and 1980 he was engaged at various German opera houses, a period he closed as first Kapellmeister in Hannover and Dortmund.

After winning several competitions (Florence 1st prize 1976; San Remo „Marinuzzi“ 1st prize 1976; Vienna „Swarowsky“ 2nd prize 1977;
Salzburg „Böhm“ 1st prize, 1977 Milan, „Cantelli“ 3rd prize 1977), he began an international career.
From 2022/23 he is Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra.

Masterclass fees

Active participant fee is € 2000.
Active participant fee includes:
conducting the United Europe Orchester for at least 100 minutes, recorded orchestra rehearsals and the final concert, participation in all meetings, classes, rehearsals, and the final concert.
Semi-active participant fee entitles to:
45 minutes of podium time, participation in all meetings, classes, rehearsals, and the final concert.
