Eligibility

The American Music Talent Competition stands as a prestigious International Music Competition, inviting school students and adult solo performers, ensembles, and small orchestras from all corners of the globe. The application window opens on November 10, 2023. We extend a warm invitation to musicians proficient in a wide range of instruments, including Piano, Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion, and Voice, to join our Audition. To complete their application, participants are required to submit a video recording showcasing their talents. In each category, we will have the privilege of selecting multiple winners.

2024 Competition Timeline

This season, we will offer a Free Entry for our first round audition.

The First Round Audition Deadline is January 30th，2024. (All of the contestants only submit their application form once time for the first and final rounds audition. )

Final Round Audition notice will be sent through email by February 1st, 2024. ( Please be notice, we could only choose limited final round winners due to the intense competition. If you did not receive our notice, please keep working hard, we would like to see your progress in our different competition or next season.)

Final round winners submit their Application Fee by February 6th, 2024 through PayPal system or Bank Transfer.

Winner List will be announced through email and post on our website by March 10th, 2024.

Music Competition Rules

1. Applicants should submit one or two solo pieces with the following time limit.

Group A: Young Musicians: 5 to 10 years old – 7 minutes ( one or two pieces)
Group B: Junior Musicians: 11 to 14 years old – 12 minutes ( two pieces)
Group C: Intermediate Musicians: 15 to 18 years old – 20minutes ( two pieces)
Group D: College students and Professionals under 35 years old – 30 minutes. ( two pieces)

2. Competition is open to instrumentalists ( Piano, Strings including harp& classical guitar), woodwinds, brass, Percussion and singers including opera of all nationalities and countries.

3. Repertoire requirements. Participants may choose one or two pieces from any of the following category:

Classical repertoire (Baroque, Classical, Romantic or Contemporary periods).
Folk/Traditional
Pop/Broadway/Musical Theatre
Jazz/Blues

4. Application video must be made in recent 6 months, only un-edited video can be accepted for the audition (parts of video connected together or video clips are not acceptable). Recordings should be a fair representation of the Contestant’s abilities, but need not be of professional quality. Applicant’s name and exact title of the audition piece must be included in the description of the video on YouTube and Youku (Vimeo, etc.).

5. Contestants must perform from memory. Music for the ensembles does not have to be memorized.

6. The final selection of winners will be based solely on the video recordings submitted.

7. Contestants may not contact any member of the Jury, including the Artistic Director, as long as they continue to participate in the 2023 American Music Talent Competition judgement. Any violation of this rule will disqualify the award.

8. The American Music Talent Competition results will be announced by March 10th, 2023

9. Due to the pandemic, we will not hold the winner concert this year, but we will mail all of our valuable winner award packages with a service fee $40 for U.S.winner and $70 for international winner. The package includes Winner Certificate, Teacher’s Diploma, 999 Gold Commemorative Award Medal and Winner Prize Check. Please note, we do not offer digital certificate.

10. JUDGING RULES:

The evaluation of each performance is based on five grounds – technique, rhythm, difficulty, musicality and tone. Every judge will give each contestant points under each ground from 0.0 being the least satisfied to 10.0 being the most satisfied.

The decision of the Jury is final and can not be appealed

The awards will be based solely on the video link submitted
