Position:     Instrumental teachers – Open applications

Period:       Depending on need, usually minimum 9 months

 

The ESNCM Western Music Departments frequently require teachers of piano, guitar, string, wind and brass instruments, voice / choir and theory/musicianship. We welcome applications at any time of year that we could contact in case of a vacancy.

 

Requirements for Applicants:

  • Conservatory or University degrees in their discipline.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Understanding of both individual and group pedagogy
  • Motivated, creative, adaptable, comfortable in group or individual setting
  • Passionate about bringing musical awareness to a community, developing a love of music and enjoyment of playing, inspiring young people
  • Ability to coach orchestra sections, lead workshops effectively, train small ensembles or chamber music

 

Job Description:

  • Teaching students aged 7- 22 at one or more of the ESNCM branches, covering beginners to college application level
  • 22 weekly hours of teaching + office hours, academic work and local travel.
  • Monthly salary (including accommodation allowance): 5200 NIS (Roughly 1400$ US-subject to exchange rate).

The initial offer may be extended  – upon mutual agreement between the teacher and the ESNCM.

The ESNCM covers the cost of one round trip per year between the teacher’s country of origin and Palestine, as well as visa costs and local health insurance.

  • Scanned copies of diplomas.
  • Names and contact details of 2 referees include at least one teaching referee.
  • Some short recent recordings of your playing (MP3 or WAV files) or lesson plan for musicianship group / choir session on a topic of your choice.
