Senior Development Manager (Major Gifts)

Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week)
Salary Range: £46,050 – £51,530 (including London Weighting and Supplement) per annum depending on experience/performance.

We are looking for an experienced, confident and creative Senior Development Manager (Major Gifts) to secure major gifts and implement the institutional strategy for growing philanthropic income from trusts, foundations, liveries and companies. The post-holder will prepare compelling case for support materials and will build relationships with a portfolio of prospects, securing significant one-off and multi-year gifts. The post-holder will work closely with the Head of Development on nurturing philanthropic relationships at the highest level and on securing transformational gifts for the School’s 150th anniversary campaign. 

The successful candidate will have substantial experience of major gift fundraising and meeting personal income targets, as well as having excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, plus the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Line management experience and an interest in performing arts education is essential.

SITS Analyst/Developer

Full-time, permanent
Grade D
Salary range: £41,360 - £46,050 per annum (including London Weighting), plus £4,205 market forces supplement per annum

Guildhall School is a prestigious, specialist higher education institution with taught degree awarding powers, looking for a skilled SITS analyst/ developer to develop and maintain the School’s student records system (SITS). 

As the School is a small institution, the role holder’s duties will be wide ranging. The role offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience across the entirety of the SITS database and student lifecycle and develop major student records projects.  The role holder will be part of a small SITS team which is part of a larger Registry team and will work with staff across the School.

The successful role holder will need to have skills and experience with SITS system tools and advanced IT skills with knowledge of at least two of the following:  

  • HTML and CSS, or 
  • Javascript/JQuery, or 
  • SQL, or 
  • other experience of querying and analysing large and complex datasets for communication to a variety of audiences (eg HESA, HESES)

High levels of numeracy, excellent attention to detail, demonstrable experience of working to multiple deadlines and effective communication are also essential.

Guildhall Young Artists Norwich - Drama Tutor

Part-time: Saturday mornings/early afternoons exact times and hours TBC
Salary: £38 per hour 
Interim: 10 weeks per term from September 2024   

Guildhall Young Artists Norwich is an exciting Saturday Performing Arts centre offering a range of classes and performance opportunities for 4 to 18 year olds. Based at City of Norwich School (CNS) young people develop their creativity and access high quality training across a variety of styles and genres in Music, and In Drama, from September 2024.

As we introduce Drama to our offer, we seek to appoint an energetic and dynamic Drama practitioner with significant experience in the professional/education sector to ensure that Guildhall Young Artists Norwich provides an excellent inter disciplinary creative education.

The post-holder will assist the Head of Guildhall Young Artists Norwich in the development and delivery of Drama at GYAN from September 2024.

The post-holder will be committed to developing young students, from a variety of backgrounds, to reach their full potential. devise and oversee drama workshops and projects and will play a key role in designing and evolving a rich, inspiring, and ambitious curriculum.

If you have previous experience supporting e-learning in HE or FE environments by providing Moodle VLE helpdesk support and user training to staff and students, along with a solutions-focussed approach to accessibility, expanding platform functionality through plugins and technical integrations whilst possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills we can offer a varied and interesting workload in a lively, friendly team environment with access to good professional development opportunities. A demonstrable interest in working in performing arts education is an advantage.  Some remote working available.

Guildhall Young Artists Taunton Music Tutors (various disciplines)

Guildhall Young Artists Taunton is one of Somerset’s most exciting Saturday performing arts centre offering a range of classes and performance opportunities for 5 to 18-year-olds in music and drama. Based at Richard Huish College, Taunton, young people develop their creativity and access high quality training across a variety of styles and genres.

As the centre is expanding, we are seeking additional tutors and wish to appoint an energetic and highly skilled team of tutors, top practitioners and industry professionals, across a variety of styles and genres to teach our U18 students, and to ensure that Guildhall Young Artists provides an excellent creative education. 

We wish to appoint a diverse pool of dedicated and enthusiastic individuals with a proven track record in any of the following:

  • DJing & Music Production Tutor
  • Drums & Percussion Tutor
  • Guitar & Bass Guitar & Ukulele Tutor
  • Singing Tutor (classical & contemporary)
  • Woodwind Tutor (especially flute, oboe & saxophone)
