Jessica Hung Named Associate Concertmaster at The Venice Symphony

Hung has served as concertmaster of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra in Ohio since 2008.

The Venice Symphony has named Jessica Hung as associate concertmaster of the orchestra. Hung has served as concertmaster of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra in Ohio since 2008; she also performs regularly in orchestras in Florida and around the U.S., and has made Orlando her permanent home. She previously held concertmaster titles with the Annapolis, Chicago Civic, Cleveland Institute of Music and Northwestern University Symphony orchestras, and was assistant concertmaster with the Akron Symphony Orchestra. She has performed as a substitute violinist for The Cleveland Orchestra and the Baltimore, Cincinnati, and Milwaukee Symphony orchestras and served as adjunct faculty at the University of Dayton. She also served as associate artistic director of chamber music for the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance, where she launched the experimental community outreach concert series Edge: Unconventional Performances in Unconventional Places.
