Garner Wilson is a terrific bow maker, and very nice sort of person. Garner Wilson was trained by W. E. Hill & Sons of London under the expert eyes of Arthur Bultitude and William Watson. During this time, William Retford was a frequent visitor to the workshop and gave him invaluable advice and guidance.Garner started his own business in 1966 until he established his first workshop inBury St. Edmunds, Suffolk in 1969.The business flourished and he trained several apprentices, most notably multi-prizewinner, Peter Oxley. In 1989, He had the opportunity to buy a house with working space in the Scottish Highlands. This had enabled him to return to his first love -that of making quality bows.
