A completely distinctive full size violin, with bow, chinrest and shoulder rest in a brown case

Stolen: 14 Sep 2018 - 16.00-22.00pm - LONDON

This violin is distinctive because of the inscriptions and carved lion head atop the finger board. It was a greatly loved family heirloom and we would love to get it back
Descrizione dello strumento:
It had a carved lions head instead of a scroll and inscriptions on the back reading 'AD 1770 (IHS and cross inscribed), this violin was then supposed to be one hundred and ten years old." Underneath this was inscribed a name "Gremoneou" and a lion face design. The instrument was bought in 1890 by my great great grandfather from a sailor in Hull, Yorkshire and passed down through my family to my daughter who played it in a band. It was stolen from her flat in Kilburn, NW London, during a burglary
