The collaborative piano department provides an introduction to both vocal and instrumental collaborative training in a Master of Music degree program with an emphasis on training students to work as vocal coaches, particularly in an opera house setting. • Possible chamber music coaching in the Graduate School and/or the Saturday Pre-college program
• Actively recruit students
• Preference is for a pianist who is open to performing with instrumental colleagues

• Experience as a collaborative partner performing with established instrumental artists
• Conservatory or collegiate teaching experience
• Vocal coaching and vocal recital experience is desirable
• Knowledge or interest in Chinese culture
• Fluency in English (the graduate program at TJS will be accredited by Middle States Commission on Higher Education, therefore all courses will be taught in English)
• Some knowledge of Mandarin will be helpful to the successful candidate but is not required
