(Apprenticeship/Academy position)
The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music at the University of Melbourne and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) have partnered to offer aspiring orchestral musicians an intensive, practically-focused masters degree.

All students, over the two year course, will perform several times with the world-class Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, be mentored by MSO musicians, study one-to-one with internationally renowned instrumental teachers, understand the inner workings of orchestral management, develop skills to perform under pressure, train for successful audition experiences, and prepare for a sustainable, elite-level orchestral career. Every student has secured freelance work in professional orchestras.

This course is based in the brand new Ian Potter Southbank Centre located in the heart of Melbourne’s Arts Precinct – a great place to start in this industry.

All eligible students will receive a generous scholarship to support their studies, please enquire regarding your eligibility.
