The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (TSO) is looking for an outstanding musician to fill the role of Section Principal Horn. Expressions of Interest are now open.

We are in based in Hobart – Australia’s smallest and most charming state capital and a city known for its relaxing, friendly lifestyle. Tasmania enjoys outstanding natural scenery, world famous tourist destinations, pristine living conditions and superb home-grown food and wine.

This position is open to all nationalities. Please note that Police Checks will be required for non-Australian citizen/resident applications for Visa purposes should you be successful in gaining this position.

Requirements:

1. Complete the “Candidate Information “ form. Please visit the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra website for a copy of this form to complete.
2. A current CV with contact details (email address and mobile) of 2 recent referees
3. Recording (with video) of a performance of either a concerto or recital, or a studio recording of a recital made in the last 2 years. The recording should contain contrasting works of no more than 30 minutes of music.

Successful candidates will be invited to undertake a 2-3-week trial engagement with the TSO and perform a Recital Audition during the engagement. All repertoire for the Audition Recital will be provided to applicants once an engagement period is confirmed.
