First Trumpet Player

Commencing from 1 September 2021,
we offer the holder of the post a starting salary from Euro 1,640 + artistic and personal bonuses + 1-week extra leave in addition to the legally set vacation.

Auditions will be held on 23 August 2021 in SND (new building) ,
Pribinova 17, 819 01 Bratislava in orchestra rehearsal room No 5147.

Applicants are kindly requested to submit their applications including

• Cover letter – a statement of interest in the advertised position;
• Brief professional CV;
• A copy of highest completed music degree certificate (the minimum required degree is that from a conservatory or – for schools outside Slovakia – another specialised secondary degree in the given specialism);
• or a proof of current enrolment at the university in a given specialism ;
• A consent with data processing (GDPR)

Audition repertoire:
• Joseph Haydn Trumpet Concerto in E-flat major performed on trumpet in B – Part 1 (with cadenza) and Part 2;
• Free choice of composition performed on piccolo trumpet;
• A choice of orchestral parts from the selection available at

Should applicants require a répétiteur to be provided by the SND free of charge, they are kindly asked to submit the score to the above address 2 weeks prior to the audition at the latest. Applicants are also welcome to bring their own piano répétiteur at their own cost.
