Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra have open positions for 2nd Violin; Tutti

The Audition will be held Monday, April 4th , 2022 from 10:00AM at DR Byen, ‘Studie 4’ Emil Holms Kanal 20, 0999 København K


1st round:
W.A. Mozart Violin Concerto no. 3, 4 or 5, 1st mvt. with cadenza.
Orchestral excerpts

2nd round:
1st mvt. with cadenza of one of the following concertos:
Brahms, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius or Nielsen
Orchestral excerpts

3rd round:
Orchestral excerpts

Candidates must be prepared to submit a ‘youtube link’ with the 1st round repertoire (recorded with or without piano accompaniment).

Orchestral excerpts will be sent out electronically app. 5 weeks before the audition. An accompanist will be available at the audition. Applicants are responsible for expenses in connection with both travel and rehearsal.

Salary and conditions of employments negotiable with current agreement for musicians in the Danish Regional Orchestras (‘Landsdels Orkestrene’). Employment of non-EU residents is contingent upon the attainment of a valid work and residence permit. Applicants are responsible for expenses incurred in the attainment of such permits.

Friday, February 25th 2022 All candidates will receive a result on the application and whether they have been invited directly to the 1st round or must send a ‘youtube link’ with the 1st round repertoire. All invited applicants will also receive the orchestral excerpts

Monday, March 7th, 2022 12:00PM deadline for the candidates that were asked to make a video

Friday, March 11th, 2022 ‘youtube link’ candidates will be informed if they have been invited to the 1st round.
