Flute - United States Air Force Regional Band
Full-time position available as a flutist in the U.S. Air Force Regional Bands. Duties include performing in the concert band and wind quintet. Please refer to the attached flyers to learn more. PRE-SCREENING REQUIREMENTS
1) One-page resume
2) Pre-screen recording
a. Solo: choose one solo from the following (or select a comparable solo work)
i. Mozart: Concerto in G Major, K. 313, mvt 1 exposition
ii. Mozart: Concerto in D Major, K. 314, mvt 1 exposition
b. Excerpts: submit 2 flute and 2 piccolo excerpts showcasing a variety of styles. Suggested excerpts include, but are not limited to:
i. Mendelssohn: Midsummer Night’s Dream, 1 bar before P – 23 bars after Q
ii. Brahms: Symphony No. 4, mvt 4, mm 89-105
iii. Rossini: Semiramide, mm 132 – 143 and mm 190 – 195
iv. Sousa: The Stars and Stripes Forever, last 32 mm
Recordings may be submitted as audio or video. Please include last name and selection title in each file name. Cloud sharing services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. preferred; please ensure all files are accessible for viewing/download.
