Jazz Trumpet - United States Air Force Regional Band

Full-time position available for jazz trumpet in the U.S. Air Force Regional Bands. Duties include performing in a jazz band and concert band. Please refer to the attached flyers to learn more. Also view the FAQs page linked below and all other included links for more information.

PRE-SCREENING REQUIREMENTS
1) Pre-screen recording
a. Solo: 2-3 minutes from a featured solo, candidate's choice, any genre
b. Jazz Excerpts: submit 2 excerpts from big band repertoire (e.g., Splanky, Moten Swing, Groove Merchant, In the Mood, etc.)
c. Jazz Standards: submit 2 contrasting jazz standards. Include the head and 2 choruses of improvisation on each
d. Lead (optional): submit 2 lead excerpts from big band repertoire (e.g., Blues in Hoss' Flat, Besame Mucho -Maynard solo, etc.)
Please submit MP3 audio recordings only. Please include last name and selection title in each file name. Cloud sharing services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. preferred; please ensure all files are accessible for viewing/download.
