Resident Technical Staff – Stage Crew

Position Overview:
As a member of Seattle Symphony’s Resident Technical Staff, the successful candidate will provide audio/visual support to a variety of stage productions ranging from, but not limited to: concerts, recordings, auditions, business meetings, lectures and weddings. This position will require video proficiency. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Seattle Symphony and Local 15 of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and is on-call work with no guaranteed minimum number of hours.

Qualifications:
• Four years progressively responsible experience in professional audiovisual and/or sound reinforcement with AV and/or video productions or a service provider
• Proficient with PowerPoint, Keynote, Q Lab, and other video software
• Ability to work efficiently and affably with other stage crew, Technical Director, Music Director, orchestra personnel, administrative staff, clients and guest artists in alignment with Seattle Symphony’s culture of respect, collaboration and inclusivity
• Possess a valid Washington State Driver License at time of application
• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work with members of the production team, event personnel, clients, and event officials
• Work safely with electrical equipment and tools
• Experience as AV, sound or video engineers, technical directors, for live events such as performances, corporate meetings and concerts
• Experience with digital audio consoles, digital wireless microphones, audio networks, intercom systems, and assistive listening systems
• Experience with wireless microphones and intercom systems
• Proficiency using computers for networking and audio/video control
