Ryan Anthony Memorial Trumpet Competition
17 - 22 May, 2027
The International Trumpet Guild hosts the 2027 Ryan Anthony Memorial Competitions during the ITG Conference at the University of Kentucky (Lexington, KY), May 18–22, 2027. Preliminary rounds are adjudicated anonymously via unlisted video recordings, with up to 15 semi-finalists per division advancing to live rounds. All trumpet applicants must be active ITG members.
Divisions & Cash Prizes
Major Divisions (Chamber Music, Jazz Improvisation, Orchestral Excerpts, Wind Band Excerpts, Solo Performance):
1st: $3,500 | 2nd: $2,000 | 3rd: $1,000
Senior Youth Division:
1st: $1,200 | 2nd: $800 | 3rd: $500
Junior Youth Division:
1st: $1,000 | 2nd: $600 | 3rd: $400
Competitors may enter multiple divisions subject to category rules. Live semi-finalists and finalists receive discounted conference rates, and eligible student participants may apply for ITG Conference travel scholarships.
