Now you can sit back into a chair pose instead of an actual chair while listening to live classical music at Orchestra Hall.

A series of three yoga classes taking place in the lobby of Orchestra Hall brings together classical music lovers and yogis to experience something new.

Musicians from the Minnesota Orchestra will play live for the classes, working with yoga instructors to guide each hourlong session.

‘“Coming together and experiencing something that you love in a new way — whether you love yoga and you’re experiencing classical music for the first time or vice versa — I think there’s going to be something for everybody that will hopefully leave them feeling really inspired to continue growing and exploring the arts and promoting healthy lifestyles,” said Jessi Ryan, acting director of education and community engagement at Minnesota Orchestra.

Each class will be unique, as three different yoga instructors will be paired with three different musicians: a harpist, a violinist and a flautist.

Bring your own mat and water bottle. Cost is $35 per class, and the first session on Sunday is full.

Sign up for a session on Feb. 10 or March 24 at minnesotaorchestra.org/yoga.
