Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) has expanded the role of General Manager Kate Kammeyer to also include serving as Artistic Administrator, and has promoted several other LACO staff members as well, according to LACO Executive Director Scott Harrison. Assuming growing roles are LACO employees Taylor Lockwood, promoted to Operations Manager; Brandon Faber advanced to Assistant Director of Events and Sponsorships; Dina-Marie Weineck boosted to Executive Assistant & Board Liaison; and Alana Miles, elevated to Advancement Associate.

"In her new expanded position, Kate Kammeyer, working in conjunction with LACO's Music Director Designate Jaime Martín and our artistic and staff leadership, will help LACO continue to deliver exciting and meaningful artistic programming and educational projects across all of LACO's offerings," says Harrison. "Kate has had a substantive impact on the scope and efficiency of our artistic programming and operations since day one. We are fortunate to have someone with her background and connections already on staff and enthusiastic about jumping into the role of General Manager and Artistic Administrator. She'll play an invaluable part in helping LACO reach new heights of artistic and community service. It is gratifying to acknowledge Kate, Taylor, Brandon, Dina-Marie and Alana with these promotions in recognition of their significant contributions during their tenures with the Orchestra."

Kammeyer joined LACO in 2016 as Orchestra Manager and Director of Community Programs and was promoted to General Manager in 2018. She will play an even more comprehensive role in LACO's full scope of programming and operational activities, increasing and improving organizational communication and planning to allow LACO to successfully design and execute a growing number of complex and impactful mission-related activities. She will continue to build a positive and engaging workplace environment for LACO's musicians and further represent LACO in conversations and negotiations with a variety of partner organizations. Prior to joining LACO, Kammeyer was Orchestra Manager of The Philadelphia Orchestra. She holds an A.D. from SUNY Purchase, a M.M. from the Hartt School and a B.M. from the University of Iowa, all in Oboe Performance. She was one of only twelve orchestra professionals selected to participate in the League of American Orchestras' Emerging Leaders Program in 2017.

Lockwood, who previously served as LACO's Operations and Community Programs Coordinator, assumes operational responsibilities from Kammeyer to free her up for her new expanded position. Faber, who previously served as Individual Giving and Advancement Manager, will oversee special event fundraising and corporate giving. Weineck joined LACO as an intern last fall and was appointed to this full-time position in recognition of her attention to detail, resourcefulness and work ethic. Miles, who previously served as Marketing & Events Assistant, will cultivate and support the Orchestra's donor relationships. She and had an integral role in assisting with LACO's Golden Gala on April 14, 2018, celebrating the Orchestra's 50th anniversary, the most successful gala in LACO's history.
