Riccardo Bozolo born in Belluno (Italy) in 1985, he studied Piano at Conservatorium “Benedetto Marcello” in Venice, where he graduated (Bachelor) with the highest honors under the teaching of Maestro Giorgio Lovato. His degree talk about "Moriz Rosenthal and the pianists of '800", in his final examination he played the Sergej Rachmaninov's Concerto Nr.3 d minor op.30. He have finished his Master in Piano performance at the Conservatorium "Giuseppe Tartini" in Trieste in the class of Maestro Massimo Gon with Summa cum Laude, with a Special Prize for the best Diploma on this program : "The Etudes of Henselt and Chopin and their monstreux metamorphosis by Leopold Godowsky".
The critics appreciates his interpretation of the great romantic German pianists such as Schumann, Brahms and Liszt : "Musizierten empfindsam und schwerblütig" (Arndt Zinkant, Westfälischen Nachrichten), "Zurückhaltend und reif" (Bruno Elberfeld, Aachener Zeitung), "His Schubert is exquisite! He plays in many European music centres as Paris, London, Amsterdam, Budapest, Brussels, Vienna, Vilnius, Moscow and in many Italian cities as Venice (Gran Teatro La Fenice), Trieste, Vicenza, Padova, Bassano del Grappa, Gorizia, Nocera Umbra, Milan, Bologna, Pesaro, Rome, Taranto, Vulcano (Eolie Islands).
He often plays historical pianos.
He plays in famous festivals and concert seasons in England, France, Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Hungary, Slovenia, Lithuania, Russia.
In the 2010 he gaves a Concert - Conference at the Antonio Ricci Academy – University of Udine where he presented two Paraphrases Strauss/Rosenthal and he played the second Italian performance of the “Variationen über ein eigenes Thema” (in the 1904 in Rome Rosenthal played its for the first time). In the 2012 he recorded a live CD from Bologna with the full “Etudes d’Execution Transcendante” of Liszt. In the 2013 in Holland he played at the Pianola’s Museum and he granted an interview to Radio Salto (Amsterdam).
He attended many masterclass with more than 20 important Masters and Pianists in Italy and abroad in istitutions such as the Fondation "Bell'Arte" in Braine l'Alleud (Belgium), the Ecole Normale de Musique "Alfred Cortot" in Paris (France), the Musik Academy and Theatre in Vilnius (Lithuania), the Tchaikowsky Conservatorium in Moscow (Russia).
He improved under the tutor of Anna Kravtchenko, Riccardo Risaliti, Lilya Zilberstein, Michael Ponti and he improved to better for five years under the teaching of Giuliana Gulli and Nino Gardi (Trieste).
He specialized in chamber music under Alessandro Specchi, Stefania Redaelli, Raimundas Butvila and he have obtained the Final Dimploma at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole for the Special Two – Years Course of Chamber Music under the teaching of Maestro Bruno Canino.
He won prizes in many national and international piano competitions ("N.Rubinstein" Paris, "S.Marizza" Trieste, Albenga, Rome, Padova, Pordenone, Schio and others).
His pianistic solo repertoire comprises all the literature of the instrument, from the harpsichord’s composers to the contemporary music. He prefer Romantic and Late Romantic works, Russian Music, and forgotten composers. He play more virtuosic works: from Islamey of Balakirev to the famous paraphrases of Rosenthal, Friedman and Godowsky of the Valzers of J.Strauss, from Iberia of Albéniz to the “Etudes d’Execution Transcendante” of Liszt and the Chopin/Godowsky's Etudes.
Riccardo Bozolo plays and cooperates with many important musicians such as Elisabeth Fürniss, Hartmut Lindemann, Susan Anthony, Annette Koch, Federica Lotti, Roberta Canzian, Cristina Sogmaister, Barry Anderson,Miro Solman Busolin, friar Alessandro Brustenghi, AndanteconTrio.
He played as solist under the baton of Elisabetta Maschio, Maurizio Dini Ciacci, Guido Facchin, Fabrizio Da Ros, Davide Fagherazzi with Tammittam Percussion Ensemble, Schola Cantorum of Santa Giustina, Orchestra Filarmonica of Veneto, Daphne Chamber Orchestra, Nova Symphonia Patavina. He played as conductor and solist Mozart's Piano Concerto A Major K.414 with the Cappella Strumentale di Scolca.
He is piano educator and pedagogue in many School of Music in Veneto and he gives piano masterclasses and lessons in Italy and Europe. Actually he teaches in Germany.
