The guitar has no pickup and is fully acoustic. It was carried in a soft guitar bag at the time of the theft. The guitar belongs to Dutch singer-songwriter Douwe Bob (full name: Douwe Bob Posthuma), who described it as “my most beautiful and cherished guitar — the instrument on which I wrote, recorded and played everything.” The theft was reported to Dutch police on or around 1 July 2026. Banjo head had a bunch of signatures on it.
