The opera will be rehearsed and performed in 4 days, reflecting the professional reality in so-called repertoire houses. Conductors are coached by 2 widely experienced operatic and orchestra conductors, via a pedagogy of comment BEFORE and AFTER the students' work on the podium. This allows masterclass conductors to establish authority and ideas on their own without interruption. Conductors work intensively with State Opera Stara Zagora's professional orchestra, choir and soloists. Fee is Eur 1.350,00 + a deposit of Eur 350,00 upon acceptance. Inexpensive accommodation very close to the opera house. Many conductors from our masterclasses since 2002 are now working in opera theaters worldwide. Each of the 4 conductors accepted will conduct 1/4 of the entire opera in performance.
