Price: £3,000

A fine violin of Bohemian origin, circa 1800, the two piece back of well figured maple, front of figured spruce. Old repair to front table carried out by experienced luthier reflected in the price. Varnish golden brown. Set up with Eva piratzo strings. Rich warm sound. Included with new hillversine case, very sturdy.
Valued by Vincent Purcell at £6,000 in 2015.
Selling to fund music studies.
